PROJECT MANAGER / FIELD REPRESENTATIVE
D’Huy Engineering, Inc. is seeking qualified individuals interested in careers in performing Owner’s Agent Resident Project Engineering and Construction Management. Positions are available for recent graduates, tradesmen and experienced professionals. Job responsibilities will vary with experience but will include construction monitoring in the field, management of design and construction phases of work and Owners’ representation services across all facets of multi-million dollar public projects including new buildings, renovation and infrastructure projects. Design and drafting professionals with Facility Engineering experience are also encouraged to apply. Project locations are local to the Philadelphia and Lehigh Valley Areas.
PROJECT ENGINEER / ARCHITECT
D’Huy Engineering, Inc. (DEI) is looking for an engineer or architect to join our team in either our Philadelphia Regional Office (Ambler) or our Lehigh Valley Headquarters (Bethlehem). DEI performs a wide array of engineering design and construction management projects for both public and private clients. If you gain satisfaction from the design and construction of capital projects, both large and small, then you will enjoy working for D’Huy Engineering. As a project engineer at DEI you will have the opportunity to help deliver construction of projects ranging from new schools with construction values in excess of $50 million to numerous, annual, small summer projects worth less than $100,000 but requiring delivery within very short time windows. Depth of technical understanding, flexibility and responsiveness are critical to be successful.
Engineer-in-training or licensed professional structural engineers to perform a wide array of structural engineering projects for both public and private clients including renovations and repairs, forensic investigations, and heavy concrete/steel design. Candidates should possess a background working with diverse types of structural materials, including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. Responsibilities for the position include preparation of construction drawings and specifications; detailing connections, supports and anchorage; collaborating with architects, other engineers and owners; and field investigations and inspections.
Licensed professional electrical engineer possessing a background designing and implementing electrical and instrumentation systems for diverse types of projects. An ideal candidate has complete understanding of capital project delivery, including capital planning, design, construction and commissioning. Job responsibilities include design of basic electrical systems, constructability review of large design packages and field assistance with construction administration and commissioning. Ability to serve as a project manager in addition to just electrical work would be a great benefit.
ENTRY LEVEL ENGINEERS
Recent graduates possessing Engineer-in-Training certification and looking to build a career delivering capital projects in both the public and private sectors. Typical engineering degrees include civil, structural, mechanical and environmental. Professional or personal experience with construction projects is a definite benefit. Ability and desire to take on a full-time onsite assignment during construction projects at some point during your first five years is expected.
