D’Huy Engineering, Inc. performs structural design for a variety of commercial, office, retail and industrial buildings. These projects can vary significantly in both structural requirements and overall project scope, encompassing additions, renovations and new construction. A significant aspect of these projects is determining the owner’s priorities relating to cost, schedule, use and life expectancy. Since the structural systems utilized for these projects are dependent on structure type and architectural requirements, clients are appreciative of our experience in determining the most appropriate structural system, the most cost effective structural materials, and the most buildable structural design.
As determined by the characteristics and requirements of each project, DEI utilizes various combinations of wood, reinforced and unreinforced masonry, light gage steel, structural steel and reinforced concrete. In addition, we have designed large manufacturing and warehouse facilities for construction using concrete tilt wall systems and components; and our experience includes preparing design documents for design-build projects as well as conventional design-bid-build construction.
