D’HUY Engineering Inc. is proud to announce its role in successfully attaining 2010 Energy Grants from the State of Pennsylvania for energy management improvements for three (3) of their current clients. Northampton County’s, Bethlehem Area School District and the Colonial Institute of Technology (CIT) received $1,843,000 and $498,150 respectively. The Bethlehem grant will be utilized for three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school.
In addition, Montgomery County’s Colonial School District garnered $704,450 for improvements to one middle school and one elementary school.
The schools plan to improve various energy management auditing, policy and education, along with energy procurement and renewable solutions as appropriate to reduce building operational costs.
