Our History

D’Huy Engineering, Inc. (DEI) was established in 1976 by Mr. Gerard D’Huy as a structural design/ analysis and forensic engineering firm committed to the highest levels of excellence, integrity, communication and documentation. D’Huy’s first prominent project was the forensic investigation of the Yankee Stadium Collapse in 1979. The thoroughness and accuracy of DEI’s investigation launched the firm to national recognition.

D'Huy Engineering, Inc.
Since that high-profile project, DEI has continued to provide excellent structural and forensic engineering services. In 1989, the firm expanded its “Tradition of Excellence” philosophy into facilities engineering and project/construction management with one of its first (and existing repeat) clients, Bethlehem Area School District. Over the past 25 years, DEI has earned a rock-solid reputation for providing successful leadership on public projects with a consistent track record of completing the projects on time and below budget.

Due to the ever-increasing diversity of our staff’s technical skills and extensive work experience, DEI provides services for a variety of applications and clients in the public and private sectors. DEI uses current state-of-the-art technology for structural analysis and design, building information modeling (BIM) and web based project management software. At DEI, our exceptional personnel treat each project as their own. We integrate technology with our passion, expertise, integrity, teamwork, leadership, and sound engineering judgment to deliver value to our clients.
